Who can participate in the HLS?

  • Be registered in The Netherlands

    All participants must be registered in the Basic Registration of Persons (BRP) in The Netherlands.

  • Workers

    The HLS samples workers who are currently working or have recent work history or intent to work. They need to be identified as a worker via the CBS derivation from Polis administration data.

  • Age range 60-66 years

    Are you between 60 and 66 years old? then you are eligible to participate in the HLS. This is because the HLS focuses on work and health before retirement.

  • Belong to a private household

    Participants must be living independently in a private household and not in a residential care facility.

  • Have a CLA

    Have a known Collective Labor Agreement (CLA) code to enable linkage with sector-level data.
